The Adventures of Sock Monkey Season 2 Episode 1: Hotel California...sort of...ish...not really... Day 10

Final day, people of earth and intergalactic space!! And then back to boring stuff after this. Aaaaanywaay, last post of Episode 1, so here goes!

The whole day was rather uneventful, just a long drive after leaving Lake Havasu City, but I do have a few pictures from leaving our hotel and Lake Havasu City. See below.
The view from our hotel balcony.
Lake Havasu...
...and Sock Monkey!!!
That pretty much sums up the extent of the day, so now I can do the stats of the trip.

Total Distance Traveled: 1620.5 mi (2607.9 km)
Total Time Spent: 10 days and approximately 9-ish hrs

Who: Me, my mom, my dad, Spock, and Sock Monkey (of course)
What: The Adventures of Sock Monkey Season 2 Episode 1
When: 5/30 - 6/8 (2015, of course)
Where: Las Vegas, Death Valley, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, & Lake Havasu City
Why: Because. Why not?

Best Part: All of it. Yet again.
Worst Part: Deep-frying in Death Valley.
Hottest Part: Death Valley at noon. Ow.
Coldest Part: Kings Canyon in the drizzling rain.
Wettest Part: Kayaking in Lake Mead. Unfortunately, I forgot Spock's poncho.
Driest Part: Ironically, at Badwater in Death Valley. So hot.

So yeah. Unfortunately, all good things have to end, so this concludes 'The Adventures of Sock Monkey Season 2 Episode 1'. Questions, comments, anything, check the comment board and put stuff there. So yeah. Thanks for reading!!

  1. It was a great summer vacation. Before this trip, Zion was my favorite park (been there three times), now I will move Yosemite to the first and Zion for second. We stayed at Yosemite for four nights & 5 days, We still have not see all. I will planning to go in late Fall or early winter to see the snow, and do more backcountry hiking. Maybe we will try to camping at House Keeper campground....

Again, thanks for hiking with me, you are my best hiking partner. Hopeful, one day you will go explore all those beautiful national parks with your kids and your family, tell them all those trails we had hike together. It was fun.

Next year, are you ready to go to Yellowstone NP?
