The Adventures of Sock Monkey Season 2 Episode 1: Hotel California...sort of...ish...not really... Day 9

Almost done! Eight down, two to go! Disregard the date that this post is supposed to be for compared to today's date. Yeah. Oops. Well, that set aside, onwards with the fun!

We got up early again to the very cold air of a typical North California morning. Take into account that this is June and the temperature of an average morning hovers around the forties. Yes. It is very cold. We packed up our stuff and left early so we could get to Lake Havasu City on time (a.k.a. before dark). We arrived at around 4PM and spent the next fifteen minutes trying to pinpoint our hotel. Which is called the Heat Hotel, FYI. After we found the place, we parked and loaded all of our stuff in the room. The hotel was, as my dad put it, more of a "young people's" hotel. They had a mini-ish bar up in the lobby and they had alcohol like wine and beer in the rooms but it was still a really nice hotel overall. We took some pictures outside on our balcony of the lake so see below.
London Bridge at daytime.
Spock!
More bridges.
Bird nests!! On the bottom of the bridge!!
I can fly! I can fly!
Yup. Awesome sauce. After that, we headed off to dinner at the nearest Golden Corral we could find. Three miles or so from our hotel. After that, we chilled, took a few more pictures, and then headed off to bed.
London Bridge at nighttime.
All in all a productive day. Sorry about the lack of nature hikes, sock monkeys, and other epicness-packed subjects, but here we are! If anyone has questions, comments, supremely epic sock monkey filled remarks, comment board has to be used for something! Until then, thanks for reading!

P.S. If you want to know why the London Bridge is in Lake Havasu City rather than in London, click here for more information. This public announcement has been brought to you by Sok Munkeez Inc. ;)

  1. Finally we visited London Bridge... Yessss. The hotel was very nice, the view was awesome. Only compliant was wish the party was ending bit too late (next to our room). We need to go back the Lake havasu in the cooler season, so we can enjoy the lake bit more.
