The Adventures of Sock Monkey Season 2 Episode 1: Hotel California...sort of...ish...not really... Day 3

And I am back once again, with more awesome ninja (Not really. Sorry.) adventures and other fun things ahead. So buckle up as we continue our magical owl-filled (not really) sock monkey-packed (yes.) super amazing adventures ahead! On with the fun!

We left our hotel early in the morning and started driving off towards Yosemite NP (of course, stopping for gas a few times). We arrived at the edge of the park a tad bit behind schedule (1.5 hrs to be exact) and since we had a tour scheduled at 3 PM and we arrived at the entrance at 1:30 PM, it was a bit rushed. (P.S. We drove in through Tioga Pass Road or something like that.) So, we stopped at the Tuolumne Meadows Visitor Center and my mom rescheduled the tour and we continued driving at a more leisurely pace. See below for all relevant pictures.

Entering Yosemite...
After our one-and-a-half hour drive to Yosemite Valley, we arrived at Curry Village, where we were lodging that night and checked into our tent/cabin/tabin? Whatever. See below for pictures.

Our tent/cabin/tabin.
A lot of other tent/cabin/tabins.
Even more tent/cabin/tabins.
After checking in, grabbing our stuff, hiding our food so bears don't get it, et cetera, we took the free shuttle down to the Yosemite Lodge and waited for our 6 o'clock tour there (because all tours start there). While waiting, my mother went and bought two tickets for a one-way ride to Glacier Point, since we were going to hike down tomorrow. More on that next post. The tour we took was called the Valley Floor tour and I highly suggest taking the 6 o'lock tour rather than the 3 o'clock tour, because the 6 o'clock tour got some really nice views and it wasn't too hot either. And the tour is on an open roof tram. See below for some nice pictures regarding scenery and sock monkeys.
Buddies!

Sock Monkey having a bath in Yosemite Valley (literally).
After the tour, we basically headed back to the tabin and prepped for bed. Not much. But we did look at the gift shop on the way back. See below.
Tad bit stuck here.
Advice from a waterfall: Go with the flow. Advice from Spock: Don't get stuck in a mug.
A nice hot cup of Spock.
Go climb a cup.
Cheers!
